"This is the essence of sports," miller said."This is a time of transition in buffalo.... I think it is still a process, I feel fit. I have a year left, my intention is the best I can.

"I think I still have a lot of hockey left and feel I am able to maintain a high level."

"We must make the right decision," Poile said."Because if we screwed up a person, this could be the difference between us, did not win."
