Obama giving Basketball iron on patches Banks, Dean Smith medals

U.S. President barack Obama announced Thursday that the hall of ernie Banks and dean Smith is in those who will receive the presidential medal of freedom.

The presidential medal of freedom is America's highest civilian honor.According to the White House, the prize is to an individual "who has made remarkable contribution to the security or national interests in the United States, in order to world peace, cultural or other significant public or private efforts."

"This year's winners have special talent, but the separation is their gift to share with the world, talent," Obama said."This will be my pleasure to provide them with a token of the gratitude of our country."

The White House to announce a date and time when the MEDALS will be awarded in Washington.

Banks, in 82, is widely known as "the cub", is considered to be the greatest player in baseball history.He took part in the 11 in the all-star game, hit more than 500 home runs and was the Basketball iron on patches  first national league players defending MVP honors.He was elected to the baseball hall of fame in 1977, he is qualified in the first year.
